Sanitation is more than just toilets, it encompasses the facilities, behaviours, and services that prevent diseases caused by contact with human waste(feaces). Hygiene refers to behaviors or practices that can improve cleanliness and lead to good health. According to World Health Organization (WHO), over 1.8 million people die every year from diarrhoeal diseases (including cholera); 90% are children under 5, mostly in developing countries.88% of diarrhoeal disease is attributed to unsafe water supply, inadequate sanitation, and hygiene. Improving hygiene and sanitation would greatly improve health and save a life. We partner with organizations to train, design, and evaluate their hygiene and sanitation status.
